Transportation from the airport to downtown Montreal
Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport is located approximately 20 km from downtown Montreal. If you need to get to the airport from downtown or vice versa, there are several options to choose from.

Bus
The cheapest option are the city's 747 Express buses from the STM transport company. As you leave the terminal, head to the right and after a few metres you will see a bus stop.
Buses will take you downtown to the main bus station Gare d'autocars de Montréal. The journey takes 45-70 minutes, depending on the current traffic. Buses run 24/7. The interval of departures is approximately every 15 minutes during the day and 30-40 minutes at night.
Tickets can be purchased from the driver (you need to have the exact amount) or at an airport vending machine (there are 4 machines in the international arrivals hall where you can pay with cash or card). A full-day ticket costs approx. EUR 7, a 3-day ticket costs EUR 14. You can also buy a discounted weekend ticket for CAD 14.25 (approx. EUR 10), valid from Friday 4pm to Monday 5am. A free minibus can take you from the airport to the Gare Dorva train station, from where you can head to a number of cities. Prices vary depending on travel class and when you buy - the earlier you buy your tickets online, the more you save.
