Transportation from Shanghai Pudong Airport to downtown Shanghai
Pudong Airport is located about 30 km from the centre of Shanghai. You have several options for transportation to the city center or to your hotel.

Metro
The cheapest transport to the city will be to use the Line 2 of metro. The journey will take you about 45 minutes and it will cost you EUR 0.9. The metro runs very frequently (every 3 to 8 minutes).
The first metro from the city (Guanglan Road - East Xujing stop) to the airport leaves at 5:28am, and the first metro from the airport to the city leaves at 6am. The last metro from the airport then leaves at 10:30pm. More information can be found here.
Maglev high-speed train
The fastest transport for you is the Maglev high-speed train, which runs to downtown Shanghai to Longyang Station. The price of one trip is CNY 50 (EUR 6,5), and a return ticket costs CNY 80 (EUR 10.4). The journey time is just under 10 minutes and the intervals are 15 to 20 minutes.

Buses
A number of buses run from the airport, a list of which can be found here. You can use them especially at night, when the metro and express trains don't run. Otherwise, they are usually more expensive than the metro and slower than the express train.
Taxi
The most convenient transport is a taxi, which you can use locally or book through Gettransfer. This has the advantage of a lower price, better access, and can also provide a child seat. The price of a taxi should be around €35.
