FlixBus

FlixBus is a German transport company that operates bus routes across Europe and the USA. The company's headquarters are located in Munich. The company was founded in 2013 by three young entrepreneurs.

Today, it operates 400,000 connections daily, connecting 2,500 destinations in 36 countries. Its buses can be reliably identified by their light green color and the company logo.

The earlier you buy your tickets, the cheaper they will be. You can usually get FlixBus tickets as cheap as EUR 5 (USD 5,5 / GBP 4,3). However, they offer many discounts and sales. Croatia Tickets

If you are tempted to visit Croatia, you can take advantage of the night bus service. From Prague, for example, you can get a direct connection to Rijeka, Zagreb, or Split. Croatia's FlixBus network is quite dense, so you can get pretty much anywhere and enjoy a great holiday. The company's bus stops are centrally located, so getting to the city center won't be a problem. You can take advantage of WiFi and power outlets during your trip.

Timetables of individual connections can be found directly on the company's website or in the mobile app. Just enter the date, the number of people and search for a specific connection. It's easy to see if it's a direct connection and how many seats are left.

FlixBus offers bargains from time to time, during which you can buy tickets cheaply. Several times there have been promotions when the price of domestic tickets ranged between GBP 0.03-1 (USD 0.05-1.33 / EUR 0,4-1,2). International connections can be purchased in such sales for the price of GBP 10 (USD 14 / EUR 12). If you want to make sure you're sitting with your friends and loved ones, you can book a specific seat on most FlixBus connections. There are several categories of seats: classic, panorama, or table. If your plans change unexpectedly and you need to cancel your reservation, you can do so with no charge up to 30 days before departure. Tickets can be canceled up to 15 minutes before departure, but you may be charged a cancellation fee. Upon cancellation, a voucher will be generated, which is valid for 12 months. Bus delays can be easily tracked in the mobile app or on information boards. If your bus is delayed more than 120 minutes and you want to request a refund, you can do so via this form.

The ticket includes free carriage of carry-on luggage with maximum dimensions 42 x 30 x 18 cm (16,5 x 11,8 x 7,1 inches) and weight 7 kg / 15,4 pounds. This luggage must be placed under your seat or in the compartment above the seats. A 20 kg (44 lb) piece of luggage to be put into luggage space is also included in the price; this luggage should not exceed dimensions of 80 x 50 x 30 cm (31,5 x 19,7 x 11,8 inches).

FlixBus offers special discount codes which, when entered, can give you a 10% or 15% discount on fares. These discount codes are usually included in magazines, for example. If you are lucky, you may come across one of the company's employees handing out these discount leaflets (e.g. on the Prague metro).

All buses are equipped with WiFi, power sockets, and toilet facilities. FlixBus offers comfortable reclining seats and promises plenty of legroom. Refreshments can only be purchased on selected connections. During the ride, you can connect to the entertainment portal.

FlixBus was founded in 2013. This was shortly after a change in German law that effectively banned any long-distance transport that would compete with DeutscheBahn. FlixBus buses first hit the streets on 13 February, 2013. The first services were between Nuremberg, Munich, and Erlangen.
