About Slovak Lines
Slovak Lines is a Slovak bus company, founded in 1949, based in Bratislava. The company's original name was ČSAD, then SAD, and in 2007 it acquired its current name, Slovak Lines.
Slovak Lines has more than 300 buses, all of them equipped with air conditioning. Since 2013, the company has included low-floor buses in its public transport operations to facilitate the transport of people with disabilities.
Slovak Lines use the following vehicles:
- Setra: 515 HD, 517 HD
- Other: Mercedes Sprinter, Iveco Crossway
Tickets with Slovak Lines

Slovak Lines operate domestic services, Slovak urban bus services, and international transport.
Urban transport within the Bratislava region is provided through 43 different bus lines. National services allow travel throughout Slovakia. Thanks to international connections, you can get from Bratislava to, for example, the center of Vienna, Vienna Schwechat Airport, Neisiedler Lake, Budapest, or Croatia.
Cheapest Tickets
Ticket prices are stable at all times. However, we recommend buying well in advance to be on the safe side. It's worth keeping an eye on the Facebook page, so you don't miss out on any special offers. For example, you can get tickets to Croatia (Rijeka, Rovinj, Pula) for EUR 20 / USD 22 / GBP 17 for a one-way ticket.
Bratislava to Vienna tickets
Slovak Lines has been operating an international bus line from Bratislava to Vienna for more than 50 years. Prices for a one-way ticket can be found from EUR 7,9 / USD 8,7 / GBP 6,8. You can buy your ticket on the carrier's website or mobile app.
The journey starts at Bratislava's AS Mlynské nivy bus station (platform 1) and ends at Schwechat Airport or Wien Hauptbahnhof. The journey to Vienna Airport takes approximately one hour, to the center of Vienna approximately half an hour longer. Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and refreshments are available during the journey. Contactless payment by credit card is possible on the buses.

You can enable alerts on the app, so you will be the first to know about special tickets. Plus, you don't have to print the tickets, just show them on your phone screen.
Seat Reservations with Slovak Lines
For international and long-distance services, free seat selection is a given. When you purchase your ticket, you can choose your preferred seat directly. Exceptions are children under 12 years of age, who shouldn't sit in the front seats (1, 2, 3, and 4). If you want a premium seat, the extra charge is EUR 2 / USD 2,2 / GBP 1,7.
Routes with Slovak Lines
Thanks to Slovak Lines, you can travel comfortably outside Slovakia. Among the most convenient and popular international connections there are the following routes:
- Bratislava - Vienna Schwechat Airport / Vienna city centre / Hainburg / Neusiedler See
- Bratislava - Budapest Airport / Budapest city centre
- Bratislava - Croatia (Rijeka / Rovinj / Pula)
Thanks to domestic connections from Bratislava you can reach e.g. Kosice, Prešov, Humenné, Bardejov, Rimavská Sobota,...

Discount Code
Slovak Lines provide various discount codes for registered users. Bratislava City Card holders are entitled to a 10% discount with Slovak Lines. Another way to save is to purchase a Transportation Chip Card, which will make suburban travel cheaper. More information can be found here.
Food and Drink with Slovak Lines
For international passengers, a free bottle of sparkling or still water is provided. Slovak Lines also provide onboard sales, which allows you to purchase small refreshments on some routes.
