Lyft is an American taxi company, founded in 2012 and headquartered in San Francisco. It operates in many cities in the US and Canada. For a list of all cities, where Lyft service is available, see here.

Lyft specializes in passenger transportation by private cars. It also provides rental of cars, scooters and bicycles, and food delivery.

Ride booking is very easy. We recommend downloading the mobile app, which is free for Android, iOS and Windows Phone. You can also make a reservation via the company's website.

Simply enter where from and where to you want to go and then confirm your ride with a single click.

Price varies depending on location - it is more expensive in larger cities. The final price is calculated based on mileage and driving time. Price also depends on demand. The higher the demand, the higher the price. Unfortunately, you will not know the price in advance and it may be different for each driver.

The average price for a shorter distance ride is roughly in the range of USD 10-20 / EUR 9.5-19 / GBP 8-16.

Since almost anyone can drive a Lyft car, you may come across a not very reliable driver who may not be familiar with the city or who may not have enough experience. You may end up with a driver who drives with an unclean or old car, or the driver may not come at all.

Unfortunately, the company does not have a published phone contact or email anywhere and it is not easy to contact them.
