Tickets can be purchased on the Italo NTV website, in the app (available for iOS and Android) or directly from a ticket shop or self-service machine at the train station. If you are not limited by departure and arrival dates, you can choose the cheapest option (for example, weekends may be cheaper than weekends).

A ticket from Rome to Milan will cost you around EUR 55 / USD 58 / GBP 48. If you don't have time to buy your ticket in advance, the staff of the train can also sell it to you before you board. You should board the train with a valid ticket.
