About ÖBB
ÖBB is the national train carrier of Austria and the regional carrier of Liechtenstein. In 2019, it ranked among the most reliable trains in Europe, with a punctuality rate of 95%. It carries around 1.3 million passengers and millions of tonnes of goods every day. Today, ÖBB is the largest provider of transport services in Austria. The carrier offers train transport across Europe. Their buses then take you around southern Austria and to the north of Italy.
The carrier is very environmentally friendly. They were the first in Europe to incorporate a fully electrified battery-powered train into passenger transport, which leaves no carbon footprint. ÖBB passengers will save an estimated 2.5 million tonnes of carbon dioxide per year.
