Finnair is Finland's largest airline. Finnair was founded in 1923 and it's one of the oldest airlines in the world. The first flight that carried mail instead of passengers took off in 1924 on the Helsinki - Talinn route. In 1999, Finnair joined Oneworld. The company is headquartered in Vantaa and its main base is located at Helsinki Airport. Today, Finnair offers flights to more than a hundred destinations worldwide.
Finnair has 80 aircraft in its fleet, most of which are Airbus (A350-900, A330-300, A320, A321, A319). It also has Embraer 190 and ATR 72-500 aircraft in its fleet.

Online check-in is available 36 hours before scheduled departure. The generated boarding pass can be downloaded to your mobile or printed. Finnair also offers a mobile check-in option. With mobile check-in, you will receive a link to your boarding pass via text message.
<h3>Airport check-in</h3>
You can check in at the airport using self-service check-in kiosks. These are only available at selected airports. If there is no kiosk at the airport, you can check in for free at the counter.

<h3>Hand luggage</h3>
All economy class passengers can take on board 1 carry-on bag with dimensions 21.6 x 15.7 x 9 inches (55 x 40 x 23 cm) and 1 personal item (handbag, laptop bag...) with maximum size of 15.7 x 11.8 x 5.9 inches (40 x 30 x 15 cm). Total weight of this luggage must not exceed 17.6 pounds (8 kg).
Business Class passengers may take on board two pieces of hand luggage with the above dimensions and one personal item. This baggage must not exceed a weight limit of 22 pounds (10 kg) in total.
<h3>Checked baggage</h3>
Checked baggage allowances vary depending on the class and fare you have purchased. For Economy Class passengers, the checked baggage limit is 50.7 pounds (23 kg). Checked luggage of Business Class passengers can weigh up to 70.5 pounds (32 kg). The overall dimensions of all baggage must not exceed 62.2 inches (158 cm).
