<h3>Online check-in</h3>
Online check-in is available via the web form or the mobile app. The service is available to passengers no earlier than 48 hours and no later than 90 minutes before scheduled departure.
Please note that online check-in is not available for passengers requiring assistance, passengers travelling with small children, or tickets purchased on Basic and Main fares, for example. We recommend that you read all the conditions under <a rel="noopener" href="https://new.hongkongairlines.com/hxair/ibe/hkaAncillaries/preCheckIn.do?Dst=preCheckIn&amp;market=HK&amp;language=en" target="_blank">this link</a>.
<h3>Airport check-in</h3>
To check in at the airport, use the check-in counter, which opens at least 2.5 hours before scheduled departure time. The last passengers will be checked in no later than 40 minutes before departure. Boarding is then allowed no later than 20 minutes before the aircraft takes off.

Each passenger may take on board a piece of hand baggage with maximum dimensions 56 x 36 x 23 cm (22 x 14.2 x 9 in) and weight up to 7 kg (15.4 lb). Business Class passengers may take two such bags on board.
<h3>Checked baggage</h3>
You can travel with a maximum of two checked bags per ticket. In Main Economy class, the total weight of these bags must not exceed 20 kg (44 lb). In Standard Economy and Flexi Economy, the maximum weight allowed is 30 kg (66 lb), and if you are travelling in Business Class, the maximum weight allowed is 40 kg (88 lb).
