Carry-on baggage

With LATAM you always have a small personal bag (handbag, laptop, child's bag) included in the price of your ticket. This must not exceed 45 x 35 x 20 cm (17.7 x 13.8 x 7.9 in). Passengers with a child under 2 years old can take a folding stroller or highchair free of charge.

If you have purchased a ticket in Promo, Light, Plus or Top fare, you can bring an additional carry-on bag on board. It must not exceed 55 x 35 x 25 cm (21.7 x 13.8 x 9.8 in) in size and 10 kg (22 lb) in Economy Class, 16 kg (35.3 lb) in Premium Class. Extra hand luggage can be purchased at the time of booking or by purchasing a LATAM+ seat.

Each class has a set number of bags for the specified flight routes. You can find a list of these here.

If you are travelling in Economy Class, you can take 1 bag up to 23 kg (50.7 lb) with the Plus fare or Premium Class. Top Class, for example, allows up to 3 suitcases. The exact number of bags you can take will be noted on your ticket. If you are a LATAM Pass member in upper class, you get 1 extra bag free of charge.

When transporting musical instruments and sporting equipment, you must book your transportation in advance. However, the company may refuse it if it exceeds 300 cm (118 in) in width, depth and height combined and if it is heavier than 45 kg (99 lb). You can then ship it by LATAM Cargo. The airlines also allows you to travel with your pet.
