<h3>Online check-in</h3>
Online check-in can be done for free directly on the <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.malaysiaairlines.com/hq/en.html" target="_blank">airline website</a> or also on your mobile phone on the Malaysia Airlines app. It is available from 48 hours to 90 minutes before departure. If you are checking in on the website, you can download or print your boarding pass.
<h3>Airport check-in</h3>
You can check-in at the airport by yourself at the kiosk or directly at the counter. Kiosks can be found at Adelaide, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Jakarta and Singapore airports and also at Kuala Lumpur, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Kota Bharu, Johor Bahru and Langkawi international airports.
Make sure to arrive at the airport well in advance - a minimum of one hour for domestic flights (within Malaysia) and a minimum of two and a half hours for international flights. Check-in at the airport is free of charge.

<h3>Hand luggage</h3>
Passengers can store items, documents they need to carry, or valuables in their carry-on baggage. For Economy Class, passengers can carry a maximum of 15.4 pounds (7 kg) hand luggage, for Business Class two bags with a maximum weight of 30.8 pounds (14 kg) in total are allowed and the same rules apply to the Business Suite category.
<h3>Checked baggage</h3>
Luggage must meet the linear dimensions of 62.2 inches (158 cm) in total: height + width + depth. It must also not exceed the limit of 50.7 pounds (23 kg) for the Economy Class and 70.5 pounds (32 kg) for the Business / Business Suite class. You can add an additional bag with a 20% discount when checking in via the app. You can also get the same discount by calling the hotline.
