Bus to Alicante
The cheapest option are the city buses from the transport company Vectalia Subús line C-6. You'll find the bus stop on the second floor of the airport concourse. The buses run from 7 am to 11 pm approximately every 20 minutes and take you downtown to the train station or other stops (most tourists choose Plaza Puerta del Mar or Plaza de Los Luceros). The journey to the centre takes about 20-30 minutes. The price for a one-way ticket is EUR 3.85 and can be purchased directly from the driver (card payment is also possible). If you're travelling with more people, you may want to consider a 10-ride ticket (only applicable on this line). It costs EUR 12 (EUR 10 + 2 for the card). For timetable information, see here.
The city of Elche and the popular airport of Arenales del Sol can also be reached directly from the airport via line 1A. During weekdays, the bus runs at hourly intervals and the ticket costs EUR 1.5.
Bus line 1B runs every hour from Monday to Friday between Elche and Arenales del Sol via Alicante Airport and L'Altet. Depending on the distance, the price varies between €1.4 and €2.
Buses only run on weekdays, on weekends or public holidays it is better to use Gettransfer or taxi.
Airport shuttle to hotel (recommended)
If you don't want to rent a car, consider an airport shuttle. Prices start at EUR 8 and the bus will take you from the airport directly to your hotel (and back at the end of your stay). The price is a bit higher than public transport, but it is very convenient to be taken directly to your hotel.

Taxi
The most convenient option is to use the services of Gettransfer. You know the fare in advance and tickets can be booked online. Drivers tend to be nicer than in conventional taxis and, for example, a child seat can be provided on request. The price per ride starts at EUR 22.
Night transport
Buses run until about midnight. If you can't make one of the available services, you can use Gettransfer or a taxi to get to the centre.
