Transfer at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
Schiphol Airport has only one terminal, which is divided into three departure halls:
Departure Hall 1
- Pier B and C - flights only within the Schengen area
Departure Hall 2
- Pier D - the upper part serves flights to Schengen (D-59 and beyond), the lower part serves non-Schengen flights (D-1 to D-57).
- Pier E - non-Schengen flights, mainly served by SkyTeam alliance airlines (Delta, KLM)
Departure Hall 3
- Pier F – non-Schengen flights - served by SkyTeam alliance airlines
- Pier G – non-Schengen flights - used by airlines outside the SkyTeam alliance (e.g., Emirates, China Southern Airlines)
- Pier H – non-Schengen flights - served by low-cost airlines
- Pier M – Schengen flights - serves low-cost carriers
With everything under one roof, it's really simple and quick to navigate. When transferring within the Schengen area, there is no control, so you can transfer in 30 minutes, depending on the distance between your departure gates.
If you are leaving or entering the Schengen area, you will have to go through passport control. This might take a few extra minutes, but it won't take more than an hour. You just need to follow the departure boards and directional signs, and you'll easily find your way around.
