Metro
The cheapest option is the MARTA's subway service. You'll find the stop at the domestic terminal, which is accessible on foot from the international terminal, or by free shuttle.
There are two lines you can take: the Red or the Gold. The metro runs approximately every 5 to 20 minutes and takes you directly downtown to the Peachtree Center Transit Station. It takes about 18 minutes to get there. On weekdays, the subway runs between 4:45am and 1:15am. On weekends between 6am and 1:15am.
The cost is $2.50 for a single ticket and $9 for a day pass. It is also possible to buy tickets for 2, 3, 4 or 7 days. The first time you purchase a ticket, you must pay an additional $1 for a single-use Breeze ticket or $2 for a reusable Breeze card. For more information, visit here.
Accommodation with transportation
If you are only transferring in Atlanta and have a longer stopover, it may be most advantageous to choose accommodation with airport transportation included.
Car rental
The most flexible way to get around Atlanta is by a rental car. For a comparison of all car rental offers, visit this link.
Taxi
The most convenient option is to use Gettransfer. You know the fare in advance and tickets can be booked online. Drivers tend to be nicer than in traditional taxis and, for example, a child seat can be provided on request. The price per ride starts at EUR 25.
