Aristides Pereira International Airport (code: BVC) is located 5 kilometers southeast of the town of Sal Rei. It was officially opened in 2007 under the name Rabil Airport. In 2011, it was named after the first president of Cape Verde. 
The airport mainly receives charter flights from airlines Smartwings and TUI.
