Transport from Bucharest Airport to Bucharest city centre
Bucharest Airport is loacted less than 17 km from Bucharest city centre. You have several options for transport to the city centre or to your hotel.

Bus to Bucharest
The cheapest way to get to the centre of Bucharest is by public transport. To get to/from the city centre, use the express line 783, which runs at approximately 15-minute intervals. The stop is located right in front of the airport. The final stop is Piata Unirii (metro M1, M2 and M3). The journey time is 45 minutes and the bus also stops at Piata Victoriei, Piata Romana and Piata 21 Decembrie 1989 along the route.
The ticket is valid for 90 minutes on all Bucharest buses, trolleybuses and trams. You can also buy a ticket for 24 hours (EUR 1.60), 72 hours (EUR 4) or 7 days (EUR 6).
You can't buy a ticket from the bus driver, you have to buy a Multiplu card and minimum of 2 rides (one is not possible) from the machine. The return ticket will cost you EUR 2.

Train to Bucharest
The train station is located opposite the arrivals hall of the airport. Trains run 24 hours at intervals of 30 to 40 minutes. The journey time from the airport (always enter Aeroport Otopeni stop) to the main station in the city (Bucuresti Nord / Gara de Nord) is 25 minutes. From the station there are then trains to cities such as Galati, Constanta, Craiova and Brasov. From Gara de Nord you can reach the centre of Bucharest by metro for EUR 0.6.
