The cheapest option is public transport, but unfortunately this is not reliable. The bus operator KTEL does operate in the area, but the service only runs a couple of times a day and the timetables are not very dependable.

The quickest way to get to Kavala is by rental car. Kavala city centre is less than 30 kilometres away from the airport and we highly recommend you hire a vehicle for the duration of your stay.

The most convenient option is to use the services of Gettransfer. A big advantage is that the ride can be booked online and you know the price in advance. Prices on this route start from as little as €22. Drivers are usually nicer than in a regular taxi and will provide a child seat on request, for example.
