Transport from Liverpool Airport to Liverpool city centre
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is located approximately 14 km from the centre of Liverpool. You have several options for transport to the city centre or to your hotel.

Airlink 500 Express Bus Service
If you plan to travel by public transport, the quickest way to get to town is on Arriva's express bus service 500, which runs every 30 minutes (schedule). The journey from the airport via Liverpool South Parkway railway station to the final Liverpool One Bus Station takes around 30 minutes. The last bus from the airport leaves at 10:40pm, and you can see the full timetable here.
The price for a single bus journey is £2.30 and you can buy your ticket directly from the driver or on the Arriva app. However, it may be more cost effective to purchase a Day Saver ticket, which is valid for 1 day all over the Merseyside county. This ticket costs GBP 4.50 for adults and GBP 2.20 for children.
Buses 80A and 86A
These buses also run into the city centre, but expect a journey time of around 50 minutes. The advantage is the higher frequency of services, with buses departing every 10-20 minutes. In addition, the 86 bus runs continuously at night. Fares are the same. More information can be found here.
Car rental

Taxi
Do you prefer travel with private carriers? In addition to classic taxi, you can also use Gettransfer or Uber, where you can get a lower price. The fare from the airport to the city centre will set you back around €14.

Bus 86 runs throughout the night. Alternatively, you can use Gettransfer, Uber or a classic taxi.
Bus and train to Manchester
Buses 500, 80A and 86A stop at the nearest train station, Liverpool South Parkway, with a train to Manchester departing from there every 30 minutes. Journey time to Manchester is then around 35-40 minutes.
