Transportation from Los Angeles Airport to downtown Los Angeles
LAX is located approximately 30 km from downtown LA. You have several options for transportation to town or to your hotel.

Metro to Los Angeles
The cheapest option to travel downtown is the metro. A free shuttle bus G will take you from the terminal to the LAX Aviation stop on the Green Line. At Willowbrook station, you must transfer to the Blue Line. The journey, including transfers, takes approximately 75 minutes. A one-way ticket costs USD 1.75, a day ticket costs USD 7. You will need to buy a card for USD 1 with your ticket, which can be used to load other tickets later.

FlyAway bus
The fastest way to get to downtown LA using public transportation is on FlyAway buses. These buses will take you from the terminal to LA's largest train station - Union Station. The trip downtown takes 30 to 45 minutes (depending on traffic) and buses leave every 30 minutes between 5 am and 1 am, then run every hour from 1 am to 5 pm. You can find a bus stop at each terminal, simply follow the signs that say FlyAway. A ticket costs $9.75 and can be paid for with a credit card.

Taxi
The most convenient option is to use Gettransfer. You know the fare in advance and tickets can be booked online. Drivers tend to be nicer than in traditional taxis and, for example, a child seat can be provided on request. But you can also, of course, use classic taxis, Uber, etc.
