Transportation from Manila Airport to downtown Manila
Taxi
Undoubtedly the best transport is a taxi booked through the Grab app (Google Pay / App Store). If you don't buy a local SIM right at the airport and thus won't have data, you can also order it at the Grab kiosk. You can also opt for a regular taxi, but, especially at the airport, expect a higher price and often an attempt to rip you off. Therefore, refuse all "bargain" offers and if you do take a taxi, insist on a meter. A Grab trip to Makati will set you back EUR 4-6.
Buses
The cheapest option are the buses. You can choose express buses, city buses or minibuses (called jeepneys). Probably the best option is the Line 18 bus, which connects Terminals 1-4 with the EDSA-Taft LRT/MRT bus stop. Buses run from 6 am to 1 am. The journey to the city centre from T1, T2 and T3 takes about 10-15 minutes, from T4 it takes just 5 minutes. The price per ticket is EUR 0.2. At the bus stop, transfer to the MRT Metro - Line 3, which will take you to the Central Terminal stop in downtown Manila. The journey takes another 15 minutes or so.
The price for a metro ticket is EUR 0.3. However, tourists don't make much use of local transport.
