Transportation from Moscow Domodedovo Airport to the center of Moscow
If you need to get to the airport from the city centre or vice versa, there are several options to choose from:
Car
The fastest way to get to the centre of Moscow is by rental car. For a clear comparison of all offers, visit this link.
Train
The best option is the train service from the transport company Aeroexpress. Trains run roughly twice an hour and take you to the main Paveletsky Station. The journey to the station takes about 45 minutes. There you can transfer to metro line 2, which will take you to the centre of Moscow in 5 minutes. The price for a ticket is from EUR 5. Tickets can be purchased online via this link, or for slightly more at the airport counter or vending machine.
Bus
The cheapest option is the city bus line 308, which will take you to the Domodedovskaya metro stop. Buses run every 15 minutes. The journey to the metro stop takes 30-40 minutes. There you transfer to metro line 2, which takes you to Moscow's historic centre Teatralnaya. The metro journey takes another 30 minutes. A bus ticket costs EUR 1.5 and a metro ticket costs EUR 0.6.
Taxi
The most convenient option is to use the services of Gettransfer. You know the fare in advance and tickets can be booked online. Drivers tend to be nicer than in traditional taxis and, for example, a child seat can be provided on request. The price per ride starts at EUR 25.
Night transport
Trains and buses run until approximately midnight. If you can't make either of the available services, you can use Gettransfer or taxi for transport to the centre.
