Orange Buses by Airport Bus Phuket
There are orange airport buses running between the airport and Phuket town. The journey to Phuket takes about an hour, there are several stops along the way and the fare is 100 baht (about 70 CZK). There are two main bus stations in Phuket.
- Get off at Phuket Bus Terminal 1 if you are heading into the city centre or want to continue on to Koh Phi-Phi, Koh Lanta or other islands. Ferries run from Rassada Pier, which can be reached by taxi or tuktuk.
- Most buses to Krabi, Hat Yai, etc. depart from the Phuket 2 bus terminal.
Minibuses
To Patong, Karon and Katy, the Samurai Five-O minibuses may be a better option. These usually run when full and prices range from 100 to 200 baht depending on distance.
Taxi
The most convenient option is to use Gettransfer. You know the fare in advance and tickets can be booked online. Drivers tend to be nicer than in conventional taxis and, for example, a child seat can be provided on request. Especially if you are travelling to Thailand with small children, we highly recommend this option from our own experience.
