Train and SMRT metro
The cheapest and fastest public transport option in Singapore is the metro. From Changi Airport MRT station (CG2), take the East West Line / EWL (Green Line) to Tanah Merah stop. Here, change to the City Hall stop (25 minutes). Total journey time is about 50 minutes. Purchase tickets directly from the ticket machine on the platform for about EUR 1.4 (accepts coins only).

Bus
An alternative to subway is the bus. Line 36 will take you to the Pan Pacific Hotel stop, which is quite well placed for exploring the city centre. The journey takes about 50 minutes and costs EUR 1.7. Other lines are 24, 34 and 110.

Car hire
The fastest way to get to the city centre is by rental car. The city centre is about 20 minutes' drive from the airport. For a clear comparison of offers from all car rental companies, visit Rentalcars.
Taxi
The most convenient option is to use the services of Gettransfer. A big advantage is that the ride can be booked online and you know the price in advance. Prices on this route start from as little as €22. Drivers are usually nicer than in a regular taxi and can provide a child seat on request, for example. If you forget something in the car, the driver can be traced and contacted. You can also use Uber, Grab or a classic taxi.
