Transportation from Tenerife South Airport to Puerto de la Cruz
The Tenerife South Airport is located 90 kilometres from Puerto de la Cruz. You have several options for transport to the city or to your hotel.

Car rental (recommended)
The most flexible transportation will be provided by car rental. This is the best way to get not only to Puerto de la Cruz, but also to many places that are hardly, if ever, accessible by bus.

Airport shuttle to hotel (recommended)
If you don't want to rent a car, consider an airport shuttle. Prices start at EUR 8 and a bus will take you from the airport directly to your hotel (and back at the end of your stay). The price is a bit higher than taking public transportation, but it's much more convenient.

Bus
The cheapest option is the public transport bus. There is a direct bus service to the resort of Puerto de la Cruz. At the airport, just take the line 343 bus, which will take you all the way to your destination (price €13.5, timetable here). You can buy a ticket from the driver as well.
If you plan to use public transport more often, you can take advantage of 3 different fares:
- Weekly card for buses and trams for €50
- Daily Card for €10 (+ €2 fee for the card)
- Ten+ WALLET - load any credit of €2-100 onto this card (cost of the card is €2), which is then charged according to journeys. The saving is approximately 20% and one card can be used by multiple passengers.

Taxi
The most convenient transport is a taxi, which you can use on the spot or book via Gettransfer. The price starts at €28, but the final amount is subject to carrier offers. The prices are lower than those of taxis and the drivers are much more friendly. If you forget something in the car, it can be easily traced.
