Transportation from Venice Marco Polo Airport to the centre of Venice
The airport is located about 13 km from the city. You have several options for transport to the city centre or to your hotel.

Bus
The cheapest option to get from the airport to the centre of Venice is public transport. Bus 5 (ACTV company) will take you to the Liberta' Santa Chiara stop. The bus runs from 4:08 am to 1:10 am at approximately 15-minute intervals.
If you need to get to Mestre, take the Bus 15. It runs from 5:45 am to 8:15 pm.
A one-way ticket in both cases costs €8, and a round-trip ticket costs €15. If you want to save money, don't get on this bus right at the airport, but walk to the Tessera Centro bus stop, which is about 1 km from the airport. This stop is no longer part of the airport zone and you will pay only EUR 1.50 for a one-way ticket, which you can buy at the Courtyard Hotel reception, at the newsagent at the stop, or on the app.

Alternatively you can also take buses from ATVO company. The journey from the airport to the centre of Venice takes about 34 minutes. The bus will take you to the Piazzale Roma bus stop. A one-way ticket costs €8, and a return ticket costs €15. You can buy it at the arrivals hall, the ticket machine, or online. Transfer to Venice by Ship
An interesting and stylish transport from the airport to Venice is the Alilaguna shuttle boat service. It's located a comfortable 7 minute walk to the dock (Darsena Docks), where you just follow the Water Transport signs. Tickets to Venice cost €15 (return €27), to Murano Island €8 (return €15). Children under 5 travel free. The boat stops at several places, including St Mark's Square. Tickets can be purchased here.
There are three lines - orange, blue or red, which do not run during winter.

Taxi
The most convenient transport is a taxi, which you can use on the spot or book through Gettransfer. This has the advantage of a lower price, better access, and can also provide a child seat. The price of a taxi should be around €23.
Night transport
Most of the above companies offer services until around midnight. If you can't make any of the available connections, you can use Gettransfer or a taxi to get to the centre.
