Transport from Zurich Airport to Zurich city centre

Train to Zurich
Zurich Airport has its own train station, from where trains also run to Zurich. The journey from the airport to Zurich Central Station takes approximately 10 minutes. The centre of Zurich can be reached by a comfortable 5-minute walk along Bahnhofstrasse from the station.
A single ticket for adults with a validity of 60 minutes costs EUR 7, while a child ticket (for children aged 6 to 16) costs half the price. Upon arrival, you can also purchase a 24-hour 3-zone ticket for EUR 14 for adults and EUR 7 for children aged 6 to 15. Children under the age of 5 travel free of charge.
It's also worth considering buying the Curych Card, which gets you free transport around the city (including cable cars and boats), free or discounted entry to 40 museums, 50% off city-organised tours and other discounts. For one day you will pay about EUR 28, for 3 days EUR 55.

Trams to Zurich
Some places in the north of Zurich can be better reached by the "Glattalbahn" tram service. The tram fare is the same as the train (you can use one ticket for both).
- Tram number 10 runs to Bahnhofplatz via Glattpark, Oerlikon and Irchel
- Tram number 12 goes to Bahnhof Stettbach via Glattbrugg and Wallisellen

The most convenient option is to use Gettransfer. You know the fare in advance and tickets can be booked online. Drivers tend to be nicer than in traditional taxis and, for example, a child seat can be provided on request. The price per ride starts at EUR 30.
