<p>Czech Airlines (CSA) is the 5th oldest and still operating airline in the world and one of the founding members of IATA (International Air Transport Association). CSA has been a member of the global airline alliance SkyTeam since 2001. CSA's rival Smartwings became the majority owner of CSA in 2018. CSA is based at Václav Havel Airport in Prague.</p>
<p>CSA has Airbus A319 and Airbus A320 aircraft in its fleet.</p>

<p>You can purchase your tickets directly from <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.csa.cz/cz-cs/rezervovat/" target="_blank">the CSA website</a>. You can also use our <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="/levne-letenky" target="_blank">cheap ticket finder</a>, which compares the price of tickets from more than 500 airlines. CSA mainly offers flights within Europe. From non-European destinations, it flies to Beirut and Lebanon. The price for a one-way flight is around EUR 136 (GBP 116 or USD 162).</p>

<p>CSA is generally one of the more expensive airlines. We recommend buying your tickets well in advance (at least 2-3 months before departure). The cheapest tickets can be purchased on the Economy Lite fare.</p>

<h3>Online Check-in</h3>
<p>Online check-in on the CSA website is available 36 hours before scheduled departure and it closes one hour before departure. After filling in the details your boarding pass will be generated for you. Your boarding pass must be printed and then presented at the airport. For some destinations you cannot print your boarding pass in advance - read more about this at <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.csa.cz/cz-cs/cestovni-informace/na-letisti/moznosti-odbaveni/" target="_blank">this link</a>.</p>
<h3>Airport Check-in</h3>
<p>Airport check-in is free of charge for all CSA flights. However, make sure to arrive at the airport well in advance. At Václav Havel Airport, the check-in counter closes 40 minutes before scheduled departure.</p>
<p>You can also check in using the self-service kiosk, which is available in Prague at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.</p>

<h3>Carry-on baggage</h3>
<p>Economy class tickets include one cabin bag with dimensions 55x45x25 cm (22x18x10 in) and a maximum weight of 8 kg (17,6 lb). If you have purchased an Economy Plus or Flex ticket, you can take a small personal bag measuring 40x30x15 cm (16x66x33 in) and weighing a maximum of 3 kg (6,6 lb) on board with your cabin baggage.</p>
<p>With tickets purchased in Business Class you are allowed to bring two cabin bags + one small personal bag of the above dimensions and weight.</p>
<h3>Luggage allowance</h3>
<p>Luggage allowance is based on the class of travel and fare in which you purchased the ticket. Economy Class tickets at Plus and Flex fares include one checked bag with a maximum weight of 23 kg (50,7 lb). Economy Lite fares do not include the option of checked baggage.</p>
<p>Business Class tickets include the option of two checked bags with a maximum weight of 32 kg (70,5 lb). The sum of the dimensions of the checked baggage must not exceed 250 cm (98 in), including wheels.</p>
<h3>Sports equipment</h3>
<p>If you need to carry sports equipment, you will be charged with EUR 59 (GBP 50 or USD 70). It must be packed in a sturdy and protective container and must not exceed the checked baggage limit (max 32 kg / 70,5 lb, sum of dimensions 250 cm / 98 in). For example, you can take a bicycle, golf set or ski equipment. <h3>Economy Class</h3>
<p>Economy Class includes 3 price packages/fares, depending on your preferred services. The more services included in the fare, the more expensive the ticket will be. Lite and Plus fares are non-refundable.</p>

<li><strong>Lite</strong> - The cheapest fare that includes only one cabin bag.</li>
<li><strong>Plus</strong> - Includes cabin bag, small bag, checked bag and choice of seat on board.</li>
<li><strong>Flex</strong> - Baggage as in the Plus fare plus rebooking, cancellation for a fee and light refreshments</li>
</ul>
<h3>Business Class</h3>
<p>Business Class is divided into two fares both including premium services, two cabin bags, two checked bags and a one small carry-on bag.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Business</strong> - Includes tickets flexibility - no change of departure fee, no refundable tickets.</li>
<li><strong>Business Lite</strong> - Cheaper option, does not include change of tickets and tickets are non-refundable.</li>

<h3>Traveling with children under 2</h3>
<p>Children under 2 can travel on an adult's lap or they have their own seat purchased. If the child has his/her own seat, he/she must sit in a car seat certified for air travel. Children with their own seat are entitled to cabin baggage, according to the fare purchased. If the child is traveling on an adult's lap, only 10% of the ticket price applies, if they have their own seat, 75% of the ticket price applies.</p>
<h3>Travel with children aged 2 to 12</h3>
<p>Children in this age group receive a 25% discount when purchasing tickets. They are entitled to baggage allowance depending on the fare on which they have purchased their ticket. They are seated free of charge next to an accompanying person on the aircraft.</p>
<h3>Unaccompanied children</h3>
<p>Children aged 12 years and over can travel independently unaccompanied by an adult (unless otherwise provided for by national legislation). Unaccompanied children service is available on CSA flights for children aged 6 to 17 years. <p>On short flights to Europe and the Middle East, complimentary refreshments are provided on Economy Flex and Business fares only. If you have purchased a ticket on a different fare, you can <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.csa.cz/cz-cs/cestovni-informace/doplnkove-sluzby/gourmet-on-board/" target="_blank">pre-order refreshments</a> for a fee or purchase refreshments on board the aircraft.</p>

<p>Snacks are served free of charge in business class. In economy class, hot or cold meals can be ordered for a fee. Passengers can read the MyWings in-flight magazine free of charge. On short-haul and medium-haul flights, premium merchandise can be purchased from the <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.csa.cz/cz-cs/cestovni-informace/behem-letu/sky-shop/" target="_blank">Sky Shop</a>.</p>

<p>Changes can be made to any ticket purchased (e.g. departure/return date). Changes to tickets are subject to CSA charges. These vary according to the fare (price package) under which the ticket was purchased. For a detailed list of fees, please visit <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.csa.cz/cz-cs/cestovni-informace/pred-letem/sprava-rezervaci/" target="_blank">this page</a>. Changes can be made online, in the "<a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.csa.cz/cz-cs/moje-rezervace/" target="_blank">My Booking</a>" section or via the contact centre, where a service fee is charged. It is not possible to change the name on the issued ticket. You must cancel the ticket and purchase a new one.</p>

<p>Tickets purchased on Economy Lite, Economy Plus and Business Lite tariffs cannot be refunded. After cancellation, you are only entitled to a refund of the airport fee. You can cancel tickets purchased on Economy Flex and Business fares. Cancellations under the Flex fare are subject to a cancellation fee of EUR 60 (GBP 51 or USD 71). Cancellations under the Business fare are free of charge. Refunds can be requested online using the <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.csa.cz/cz-cs/kontaktni-formular/#current_ask-form-3" target="_blank">contact form</a>.</p>

<p>To celebrate its 95th anniversary (in 2018), CSA had offered sightseeing flights over Prague. The route led around Křivoklát Castle, Slapy Reservoir, Karlštejn and other interesting places. There was so much interest in the sightseeing flights that CSA added several extra dates.</p>
