<h3>Online check-in</h3>
Check-in can be done from the comfort of your home 48 hours to 1 hour before departure. This will save you time that you would otherwise have to spend in queues at the airport. <h3>Check-in at the airport</h3>
There is an option to check in at a self-service kiosk, which is located at many of the airports EVA Air flies to. If you're unsure how the kiosks work, the company <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.evaair.com/en-global/fly-prepare/at-the-airport/check-in/self-check-in-kiosk/" target="_blank">describes it step-by-step</a> on its website. You can't check-in later than 60 minutes before departure.

EVA Air is a private airline in Taiwan. Its home is Tchaoyuan, an airport located near the capital city of Taipei. This high-quality 5-star airline was founded in 1989 and it is a member of the well-known Star Alliance. EVA Air is regularly ranked very high in Skytrax rankings and in 2019 it was ranked the 6th best airline in the world!
EVA Air's fleet is very diverse - you can travel with them on Boeing 747 or 777 or Airbus A321, A330-200 or A330-300. They also have 18 Boeing 787-10 aircraft. The company owns around 70 aircraft.

<h3>Carry-on baggage</h3>
The number of bags you can take on board for free depends on your class of travel.
In Economy or Premium Economy Class, you can take one piece of luggage with maximum dimensions 56 x 36 x 23 cm (22 x 14,2 x 9 inches) and maximum weight 7 kg (15,4 lb).
If you have paid for any higher class, you can take two such pieces of luggage.
Each passenger, regardless of class, can also take one small bag with maximum dimensions of 40 x 30 x 10 cm (15,7 x 11,8 x 3,9 inches).
<h3>Checked baggage</h3>
You always get a free checked bag in the ticket price, but each bag must meet the maximum combined dimensions of 158 cm (62,2 inches) or it will have to be checked in as oversized baggage and you will incur extra charges. The weight of the baggage is divided by travel class. Either the number of baggage system or just by weight applies.

Here you will get the best value for money, but you can still enjoy a very comfortable journey. There are entertainment touch screens built into the seat in front of you and comfort is added in a form of cushion. And of course there will be delicious meals and drinks.
<h3>Premium Economy</h3>
There are comfortable seats with more legroom, and if you're travelling overnight, you'll also get a pack of essentials including socks, a comb, an eye mask, earplugs, etc.
<h3>Premium Laurel / Business</h3>
In these classes, you can expect more privacy thanks to seating compartments. The seats are also equipped with a power outlet, a lamp and a satellite phone. There will be a multi-course menu waiting for you.
<h3>Royal Laurel</h3>
You can await luxury seats that you can easily turn into a full-size bed. You will get a package of necessities and pyjamas to make your flight more comfortable, especially at night.

EVA Air operates the Infinity MileageLands loyalty flyer program. This programme offers you much easier and faster booking, airport privileges and higher baggage allowances. Points are not only earned when you travel with EVA Air, but also when you travel with other 26 Star Alliance members.
This program has 4 tiers, and once you cross a certain point threshold, you automatically move up to another level. You can redeem the points you earn for plane tickets, travel class upgrades, as well as hotel stays, car rentals and more.

When you travel with EVA Air, you always have food for free on board and can expect at least one hot meal, and more on longer flights. No later than 24 hours before departure, you can choose your meal in your reservation. If you have special requirements or diets, you don't have to worry about going hungry. The company also thinks about those who prefer vegetarian or vegan meals, as well as taking into account religious peculiarities in the diet. If you have diabetes or follow a low-calorie or low-fat diet, you will also have your pick.
You can chose meals for children according to age: 6 months to 2 years, 2-3 years, 3-5 years.
