Iberia Airlines is one of the largest Spanish and European airlines. The first flight was from Madrid to Barcelona in late 1927 and in 2009 the company merged with British Airways. Together they have been a part of the IAG group since 2011.
The Iberia Airlines group consists of Iberia, the low-cost subsidiary Iberia Express and the local Iberia Regional Air Nostrum. They mainly focus on Europe and Latin America. Later, flights to Asia were also introduced. Iberia's headquarters are in Madrid. They also operate the cargo company Iberia Cargo.

Online check-in is available 24 hours to 1 hour prior to departure (90 minutes in Lagos, San Jose and 180 minutes in Caracas). Tickets can be printed, or for selected airports, just stored electronically.
<h3>Airport Check-in</h3>
Iberia offers its passengers the option of checking in at the airport free of charge. The check-in counter opens 2 hours before departure and the last passenger must be checked in 45 minutes before scheduled departure. For selected long-haul flights, this is 3 hours in advance.

<h3>Carry-on baggage</h3>
It is possible to carry free baggage with measurements up to 56 x 40 x 25 cm (22 x 15 x 9,8 in)  and personal accessories (handbag, laptop, camera...) measuring up to 40 x 30 x 15 cm (15,7 x 11,8 x 6 in). The weight must not exceed 10 kg / 22 lb (14 kg / 30,8 lb for Business Class).
<h3>Luggage</h3>
Luggage is allowed a weight limit of 23 kg (50,7 lb) and dimensions up to 158 cm (62 in) when all sides are added together (length, width, height). When checking in online, up to 9 bags can be added. Checked baggage is not included in the cheapest Basic fare. On other tariffs it is already included in the price. Overweight baggage is from EUR 60 / USD 66 / GBP 51 per piece (maximum 32 kg / 70,5 lb is allowed).
<h3>Sports equipment, animals</h3>
On short and medium flights it is possible to carry sports equipment for EUR 45 / USD 50 / GBP 38 per flight. Transport of animals costs from EUR 35 / USD 39 / GBP 30, depending on the flight.

Travellers who use Iberia services have the opportunity to sign up for the Iberia Plus discount system, where they can earn Avios points for their purchases, which they can then use on other trips and services.

<h3>Travel with children under 2 years</h3>
Children under 2 years do not have their own seat. Families with children under 2 are entitled to priority boarding. For children up to 8 months and 11kg / 24 lb, a cot is available on some flights for a fee and must be booked (this cannot be booked online).
It is also possible to bring an authorised car seat and a folding pushchair for free. It is often possible to take the stroller to boarding, and in some cases the airline will allow it to be carried on board, or place it in the hold and hand it over again when deplaning. You can take on board a bag with food, drink and items needed for the flight with your child.
<h3>Traveling with children 2 - 11 years old</h3>
Children aged 2 years and older may receive a discount depending on the specific flight and fare. This may not apply to special offers.

On long-haul flights, Iberia offers entertainment on screens in the form of movies, video games, music or online print in more than 60 languages. The screens are built into the seats and there are even headphones. A blanket and pillow also contribute to a comfortable flight. outlets can also be utilised.
In-flight Wi-Fi connectivity is also available. The service can be purchased with a credit card and is activated once the required flight altitude is reached.
