Online check-in can be done from 48 hours before departure, but no later than 1 hour before departure.
On the <a rel="noopener" href="https://www.koreanair.com/" target="_blank">airline's website</a>, enter the necessary details and print your generated ticket. A more convenient way is to check in via the <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.koreanair.com/kr/en/travel-guide/app-intro" target="_blank">Korean Air app</a>, which allows you to download your ticket to your mobile phone, where you can also check in.
Selecting a standard seat is free when you check in online. In Economy Class, self-selection may not always be available and cannot be claimed.
<h3>Airport check-in</h3>
Airport check-in begins 3 hours before departure and ends approximately 40 minutes before departure. Airport check-in is free of charge as well.

<h3>Carry-on baggage</h3>
The maximum weight of the carry-on baggage is set at 10 kg (22 lb), the sum of all three sides must not exceed 115 cm (45.3 inches). This baggage is free of charge.
<h3>Checked baggage</h3>
The weight limit varies according to the class in which you have purchased your ticket. You can carry one bag up to 23 kg (50.7 lb) in Economy Class and 2 bags up to 32 kg (70.5 lb) in First Class. For flights to America, it is possible to carry 2 pieces of luggage up to 23 kg (each) and the dimensions of individual piece of luggage must not exceed 158 cm (62.2 inches) in total.
<h3>Other</h3>
When it comes to transportation of animals, Korean Air only carries pets, such as dogs, cats or birds.

Tips on how to save with Korean Air

The airline offers a wide selection of meals across all travel classes. On long flights, a hot meal is included in the ticket price, on short ones you get at least a snack. Meals are prepared with fresh ingredients according to the characteristics of each destination, complemented by a range of premium wines. Korean Air has won a Mercury Prize for its onboard food. You can try Korean chicken soup with ginseng, beef bone soup or spicy beef soup and much more.

During the flight, meals are included in the ticket price depending on the distance - for shorter distances it is a snack, for longer ones it is a full hot meal.
The airline focuses mainly on passenger comfort. Their seats are as wide as 44 cm (17 inches) in Economy Class. In First Class, the seat offers space up to 67 cm (26 inches) and it is also fully extendable. Each passenger is provided with a personal screen.

Tickets can be cancelled. However, if you want a refund, you must apply for it within 30 days of the ticket expiry date. Cancellation of the ticket is then subject to other rules of the airline and SkyTeam's terms and conditions.

If you wish to make a complaint, you can do so via email customersvc@koreanair.com or directly with the office where you purchased your tickets. However, you must do so within 30 days of the expiration date of the ticket, and of course, it is better to make the claim in person. If you choose a proxy for yourself, they will need your power of attorney in addition to the necessary documents.

Korean Air offers free accommodation during long-haul connections. This includes accommodation in a four-star or five-star hotel with breakfast and a transfer to and from the airport. The condition is that you fly only with this airline for your entire journey (i.e. until your final destination). For Economy Class passengers, accommodation is provided in one direction only on a return ticket, while Business and First class passengers can be accommodated in both directions. In addition, you must use the first available connecting flight of that airline and the transfer time must be a minimum of 12 hours.
