<h3>Online check-in</h3>
Online check-in allows you to save time at the airport and is available free of charge. It opens 24 hours before departure and closes 75 minutes before departure. You can check in directly at <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.philippineairlines.com/en/ph/home#check-in-tab" target="_blank">the company's website</a>. Download the generated boarding pass to your mobile phone or print it out and take it with you to the airport.
<h3>Check-in at the airport</h3>
You can check in directly at the airport. If you are departing from Manila, you can check in using the check-in kiosk. If you paid for your tickets with a credit / debit card, make sure you bring the card with you. They may check it at the airport.
On international flights, arrive at the airport at least 3 hours in advance. For domestic flights, two hours is usually sufficient. Check-in counters close 45 minutes before departure for domestic flights and one hour before departure for international flights. The departure gate closes 15 minutes before departure time.

The Philippine Airlines (also known as Philippine Air Lines - PAL) was founded in 1941 by a group of businessmen led by Andres Soriano. It is the first and therefore the oldest commercial airline in Asia to operate under its original name.

<h3>Carry-on luggage</h3>
Each passenger can take on board a carry-on bag with a maximum weight of 7 kg (15,4 lb) and dimensions of up to 56 x 36 x 23 cm (22 x 14 x 9 inches). Along with that, passengers can also take on board a small personal item (handbag, laptop bag, camera, book,...).
<h3>Checked luggage</h3>
For flights with destination/start in the UK (London), checked baggage must not exceed 30 kg / 66 lb for Economy Class. For Economy Premium and Business Class, this limit is higher, 35 kg / 77 lb and 40 kg / 88 lb respectively. If you exceed this, an extra kilogram (2,2 lb) would cost you EUR 50 / GBP 36 / USD 56.
