Check-in can be done directly on <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.westjet.com/en-ca/manage/check-in" target="_blank">the company's website</a> or at the mobile app within 24 hours to 45 minutes (for domestic flights) or 60 minutes (for international flights) before your scheduled departure. Some destinations do allow online check-in. Once you have filled in the required information, a boarding pass will be generated. You can print it or save it on your smartphone.

It is possible to check in directly at the airport from 3 hours before departure using the check-in desk. Another option is the check-in kiosk, where you can check in from 24 hours before departure. All passengers can take on board one carry-on bag, measuring 20.8 x 14.9 x 9 inches (53 x 38 x 23 cm), which will be placed in the overhead compartment. You may carry one additional personal item (laptop bag, handbag, small backpack) measuring 16 x 13 x 6 inches (41 x 33 x 15 cm) free of charge. This item must fit under the seat in front of you.
<h3>Checked baggage</h3>
The fee for checked baggage is based on the class you are traveling in. The weight limit for checked baggage is 50.7 pounds (23 kg) and the dimensions must not exceed 61.8 inches / 157 cm (width + height + depth). Passengers in Econo Flex, Premium, and Business classes do not pay for checked baggage. WestJet offers its passengers three classes of travel, which are divided into several fares. The more expensive the fare or class is, the more services it includes.
<h3>Economy Class</h3>
Economy Class is divided into three fares: Basic, Econo and Econo Flex. The Basic fare is the cheapest and includes hand luggage only. The Econo fare also earns you extra frequent flyer points. Econo Flex includes checked baggage, seat selection and free cancellation of flights within Canada.
<h3>Premium Class</h3>
The Premium and Premium Flex fares offer passengers enhanced travel comfort, a choice of premium seats, complimentary snacks, two checked bags and priority boarding. The only difference between the fares is the option to cancel the ticket free of charge (Premium Flex - no charge).
<h3>Business Class</h3>
Business Class is divided into two fares: Business and Business Flex. Both fares include services such as airport lounge access, priority boarding, 2 checked bags and many other services. The only difference between the fares is the option of free cancellation (Business Flex - free cancellation).

Food and beverages during the flight vary depending on which travel class you fly and the duration of the flight. Economy Class passengers can only buy snacks on board on flights longer than 60 minutes.
Business and Premium Class passengers are served free water and a light snack on flights up to 60 minutes. On flights longer than 60 minutes, free hot meals and drinks are served.
