By Metro to Athens

The fastest way to get to the center of Athens is by using metro line number 3 (blue). The journey to the center takes approximately 40 minutes (stops at Syntagma and Monastiraki). The metro runs at half-hour intervals. Tickets can be purchased at airport machines or kiosks. Don't forget to validate your ticket before boarding the metro. Timetables can be found at this link. The last metro leaves the airport at 23:30, and the first metro from the city center departs at 5:30.

Bus to Athens

A cheaper but significantly slower option to reach the city center is by bus. Buses to the center depart at 15 - 20 minute intervals, and tickets can be purchased for 6 EUR at a kiosk or directly from the driver (or you can use the advantageous 3-day ticket for 20 EUR).

Train

Airport to Hotel Shuttle

In front of the airport, you will find a taxi stand, and the journey to the center of Athens will cost you approximately 30.3£ (35 EUR). Night Transport
