Transfer at Berlin Brandenburg Airport
The airport has 3 terminals. The first and second terminals are located between the runways for departures and arrivals. Terminal 5 is situated in the northern part of the airport. All terminals are easily accessible by car or public transport.
Currently, only the first terminal is operational, while terminals 2 and 5 are temporarily closed due to a low number of visitors. Airlines such as Lufthansa, Eurowings, EasyJet, Air Cairo, Ryanair, and others depart from the first terminal.
If you are traveling with only hand luggage and transferring to a flight within the Schengen area, you do not need to leave the transit zone. If you are traveling with checked luggage that is not checked through to your final destination, you must collect your luggage, check it in again, and go through security control. For flights outside the Schengen area, you must go through passport control. Detailed information regarding transfers can be found on the official airport website.
