Metro
The most convenient transport to the city is the metro line M2 (yellow). The station is located near Terminal 3 and tickets can be purchased from the ticket machine at the airport (card only). The metro runs at intervals of 4-6 minutes during the day and 15-20 minutes at night. Kongens Nytorv station, located in the city centre, can be reached in 15 minutes and a 3-zone ticket costs EUR 4,8 (children under 12 travel for free). If you are staying in Copenhagen for a longer period of time, you can also buy a 1-day ticket for EUR 11 or a 3-day ticket for EUR 27. All tickets are valid from the time of purchase (so buy them right before you get on). For more information and a map of Copenhagen metro, see here.
Traveling on the metro is an interesting experience as it is fully automated and unmanned.
Train
If you want to get to Copenhagen Central Station, take the train that also stops at Terminal 3 (cost is the same).
Bus
Alternatively, there is the A5 bus service which runs through the centre to Husum Torv.

Car rental
The most flexible transportation is provided by car rental. Compare offers here.
Taxi
If you prefer transportation by private car, but don't want to spend money on taxis, you can take advantage of the offers of private carriers, for example the portal Gettransfer. The drivers are friendly and helpful and can arrange, for example, a child seat on request.
