Transportation from Izmir Airport to Izmir city centre
The airport is located less than 18 km from the city of Izmir. You have several options for transport to the city centre or to your hotel.

Train to Izmir
The quickest way to get to the city centre from the airport is to take the Izban suburban train. You will find the stop in front of the domestic terminal. Trains run from 6am to 0:30am at intervals of 10-20 minutes.
The final station of the train is the main railway station Alsancak, the journey time is 30 minutes. If you want to go to the city centre, get off at Hilal station after about 20 minutes, where you can change to the metro and continue to the city centre stops such as Basmane, Cankaya and Konak.
To get there, you'll need a Bilet 35 ticket, which you can buy at the ticket office for 2, 3, or 5 rides. One ride can take up to 90 minutes. The price for 2 rides is TL 10 / EUR 0.4. If you plan to use public transport in Izmir more often, you can buy an Izmirim Kart for TL 6 / EUR 0.2 and top it up with credit. One ride will then cost you only TL 3.46 / EUR 0.1.

Bus
An alternative can be public transport buses (Eshot).

Airport shuttle to hotel (recommended)
If you're heading to nearby resorts, such as Çeşme, the best value-for-money option is a shuttle with Holidaytaxis. Tickets can be booked online and prices start at €15. The shuttle will be waiting for your flight and will take you directly to your hotel.

The most convenient option is to use Gettransfer. You know the fare in advance and tickets can be booked online. Drivers tend to be nicer than in conventional taxis and, for example, a child seat can be provided on request. The price per ride starts at EUR 9.
