When you fly with SriLankan Airlines, you have a choice of 2 travel classes:
Economy Class: When travelling in the lower class, you can enjoy an entertainment system packed with movies for all kinds, drinks served every 45 minutes and delicious meals included (quantity depends on the length of the flight).
Business Class: You'll start to enjoy your benefits before you board the plane, with access to airport lounges and priority check-in. Spacious reclining seats await you on board, and you can pass the time with a tablet or delicious food and beverages of your choice. In addition, a package of beauty products will be waiting for you upon boarding to make your flight more enjoyable.

SriLankan Airlines is the flag carrier of Sri Lanka with its home airport Bandaranaike near Colombo. It was established in 1979 as Air Ceylon and has been operating under its current name since 1998. It is a member of the well-known Oneworld airline alliance. It boasts the largest number of destinations served and the largest fleet of any domestic airline. It flies to 51 countries, where it operates to a total of 113 airports.
SriLankan Airlines fly exclusively on Airbus, currently owning 24 of these aircraft, with a further eight A350s on order. For long-haul flights they use Airbus A330s, of which they have 11, and for shorter distances they use A320 / A321s.

<h3>Online check-in</h3>
To be prepared and have less to do at the airport, check in from home. You can use the company's website to do this by <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.srilankan.com/en_uk/Coporate/online-checkin-info" target="_blank">checking in online</a>. Then print your ticket and take it with you to the airport. Another option is to download the SriLankan app on your phone to make check-in even more convenient and possible to do from anywhere. At the airport, you will present the barcode on your phone. Download the app for either <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://apps.apple.com/us/app/srilankan-airlines/id655557380" target="_blank">Apple</a> or <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sla.app&amp;hl=en&amp;gl=US" target="_blank">Android</a>. In both cases, online check-in is available from 48 to 2 hours prior to departure.
<h3>Airport check-in</h3>
If you can't check in online or if this option is not convenient for you, you can use the traditional airport check-in. Just make sure you check in on time. The airport counters close one hour before departure.

When travelling with SriLankan Airlines, baggage is subject to the following rules:
<h3>Carry-on baggage</h3>
The baggage you take on board may weigh a maximum of 7 kg (15,4 lb) and the sum of all dimensions must not exceed 115 cm (45,3 inches). If you are travelling in Economy Class, you can have one bag free of charge. In case of Business class, you can have two pieces of hand luggage. Notwithstanding you can carry a small personal item such as a laptop or handbag.
Children can have one piece of luggage of the same dimensions but weighing no more than 5 kg (11 lb).
<h3>Carry-on baggage</h3>
Here again, it depends on what class of travel you have paid for. For both, however, the maximum combined dimensions of 158 cm / 62 inches apply. In Economy your luggage can weigh maximum 30 kg / 66 lb, if you travel in Business Class, you have an extra 10 kg / 22 lb, so the total limit is 40 kg / 88 lb.
Children can have checked baggage up to a maximum of 115 cm and 10 kg regardless of class.
Different rules apply for flights to and from North America. The sum of the baggage dimensions is the same, the weight limit for Economy is 23 kg (50,7 lb) per piece + you can have a total of 2 pieces free of charge, and in Business Class the weight limit is 32 kg (70,5 lb) per piece and again, 2 pieces are allowed for free. Children are allowed one suitcase up to 23 kg.

In-flight services are based on your class of travel. All passengers get free food and drinks on board. You also have the option of shortening your time with the entertainment system, which is installed in the seat in front of you.
