About Tunisair
Tunisair is a Tunisian airline with a long tradition based in Tunis. In addition to the Tunisian government, Air France was involved in the creation of Tunisair. Tunisair has been operating since 1948. Its independence began a few months later in 1949 when the first Tunisian employees were recruited. Tunisair became fully independent from Air France in 1979. In 2007, Tunisair created a new subsidiary, Mauritania Airways, to operate both domestic and international flights.
