About Lufthansa
Lufthansa airline has a reputation as a reliable German airline that provides quality service to a diverse range of customers. This German airline was founded in 1926. In 1953, Lufthansa relaunched and became the largest German airline and one of the largest airline corporations in the world.
Lufthansa together with subsidiaries in Lufthansa Group carried more than 100 million passengers in 2011. Lufthansa is based in Cologne. Main operating airport bases are in Frankfurt, Munich and Düsseldorf. Lufthansa is a founding member of the Star Alliance, the largest contemporary airline alliance. According to Skytrax, Lufthansa is a five-star airline since 2017.
Lufthansa has up to 275 aircraft - Avro, Airbus, ATR, Boeing and Bombardier. Lufthansa has 274 routes to 104 countries. Almost all the aircraft in the Lufthansa fleet are named as German cities and municipalities.
