Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways is Qatar's state-owned airline with its main base at Doha Hamad Airport. This airline was founded in 1993, originally for the use of the Qatari royal family. Qatar Airways was used until 1997 as a private airline only for the royal family. The first flight took off in 1994 on an aircraft leased from Kuwait Airlines. Qatar Airways has been a member of the Oneworld airline alliance since 2013.

Today, Qatar Airways ranks among the world's best airlines and has been voted Airline of the Year by Skytrax for several years in a row. Skytrax also rates Qatar Airways as a 5* airline.

The company has more than 200 aircraft in its fleet, Airbus (A350-1000, A380, A350,..) and Boeing (777, 787 Dream Liner,..).
