Traveling with Children Under 2 Years Old

The ticket price for infants under 2 years old is usually 10% of the adult ticket price. Infants do not need a separate seat and can sit on the lap of the accompanying adult. For this reason, each adult may accompany only one infant. Another option is to purchase a separate seat where the infant can sit in a car seat approved for use on an airplane.

If you are traveling with a child under 2 years old, you are entitled to priority boarding to give you more time to store your luggage. You are also entitled to an additional carry-on bag up to 10 kg. When traveling with children under 5 years old, you can bring a folding stroller or a child car seat on board.

Traveling with Children Under 12 Years Old

For children under 12 years old, similar conditions apply as for adult passengers. They are not offered any discounts on ticket prices and other services. Children under 12 must travel accompanied by an adult, or you can request an assistance service during booking. The TAP Portugal staff will then take care of the unaccompanied child and hand them over to the designated person upon arrival. This service is available for an additional charge of £89.7 (105.4 EUR) on European flights and £132.6 (156.0 EUR) on international flights.
