Check-in with Wizz Air
Online Check-in
Online check-in is available from 30 days to 3 hours before the scheduled departure, but only if you have purchased a specific seat along with your ticket. If you have not purchased a seat, you can check in no earlier than 24 hours before departure.
There are two ways to complete online check-in:
- Directly on the Wizz Air website (wizzair.com), where you log into your profile, fill in the required information, and generate a boarding pass. You must then print it (black and white is acceptable) and present it at the departure gate.
- The second method is check-in via the Wizz Air mobile app (Google Play for Android, App Store for iOS) for smartphones. In the app, you need to fill in the required details and generate a boarding pass (in the form of a barcode). If you have an internet connection, you do not need to print the boarding pass; you can simply present it in the mobile app.
When traveling within the Schengen Area, there is no need to provide any travel document information during online check-in.
Airport Check-in
Airport check-in is available for a fee of 13 EUR. It starts two hours before departure, and the check-in counter closes 40 minutes before departure. In some cases, counters may close even 1 hour before departure. You can check in at the airport without an additional fee if you have purchased a ticket in the Wizz Go, Wizz Plus & Flex fare.
Seat Selection
During ticket purchase and online check-in, you have the option to purchase a specific seat for a fee. If you do not wish to reserve a specific seat, you can skip this step and be assigned a random seat for free.
If you are traveling with more people, be prepared for the airline to intentionally seat you apart. In this case, you can purchase a specific seat or the sitting together service.
If you are traveling with a child under 14 years old, you must pay extra for seat selection to ensure the child sits next to an adult.
