Spanish airline Vueling is a low-cost airline. It was founded in February 2004 and five years later it merged with Clickair (formerly Catair) to become the country's second largest airline. The name Vueling is a combination of the Spanish word vuelo (flight) and the English suffix (ing). It has its main base in Barcelona at El Prat Airport. 
Currently, 122 destinations can be visited with Vueling from 12 European bases. In addition to Europe, Vueling also flies to the Middle East and Northwest Africa.
The airline's fleet numbers 127 aircraft, the majority of which are Airbus A320s, followed by Airbus A321s, with Airbus A319 being the least represented.

If you have purchased a ticket in Optima, Family or TimeFlex fares or purchased a specific seat, online check-in will be available immediately after you complete your purchase and it'll be closed no later than one hour before your scheduled departure (again, this time may vary).
Print your PDF boarding pass and take it with you to the airport. Another option for you is to download the boarding pass to the mobile app (<a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mo2o.vueling&amp;hl=en&amp;gl=US" target="_blank">Android</a>, <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://apps.apple.com/cz/app/vueling-airlines-cheap-flights/id445818820?l=en" target="_blank">iOS</a>), so you can just present the QR barcode at the airport.
Some passengers can't use online check-in, so they need to come to the airport counter to check-in. These are:

Vueling offers two pieces of carry-on luggage for free:
The bag, which will be placed under the seat in front of you, with dimensions 40x20x30 cm. This bag is intended for boarding and is free of charge.
Cabin bag up to 40x20x55 cm with a maximum weight of 10 kg. This bag is for free, but on most fares you can't take it on board. This bag needs to be handed at the check-in desk. If you don't do this, you'll have to pay EUR 25 (GBP 21.42 or USD 29.66). You can take your baggage on board if you have purchased a ticket at the Optima, Family and TimeFlex fares. Another option is to purchase Priority Boarding, where the cabin bag is included in the price. It can be purchased for EUR 9.50 - 20 (GBP 8.14 - 17.14 or USD 11.27 - 23.73), depending on the specific flight.
<h3>Luggage allowance</h3>
You can check four types of luggage with a maximum weight allowance of 32kg.

For EUR 1 (GBP 1.39 or USD 1.19) you get three Avios points on the Basic fare and four Avios points on the Optima, Family or TimeFlex fare. If you find an offer on the airline's website that you like, but you're not sure about buying it yet, you can use the Lock-in price. You can then lock-in the selected price and make up your mind. You can lock in an existing price for 24 hours and pay EUR 2 - 6 (GBP 1.7 - 5.1 or USD 2.4 - 7.1) per flight, so you won't miss out on a good price.

If you're traveling with children, Vueling doesn't have online check-in for that and you must check in at the airport. There is a special check-in counter at the main airports for passengers with children, where additional luggage (cot, stroller, bag) can be checked in. If you're traveling with a little child, you can use priority boarding.
<h3>Traveling with children under 2 years</h3>
Vueling allows to travel with children from 7 days old. The under 2 child fee is EUR 14.99-154.99 (GBP 12.84 - 132.76 or USD 17.79 - 183.91). A child this young sits on the adult's lap during the flight (seats have two oxygen masks and the children get their own seatbelt and a vest). There is a changing place on the plane. With a boarding pass labelled "Travel with infant" you can take two bags on board for free.
<h3>Traveling with children from 2 to 12 years</h3>
Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult. From the age of 2 years they have their own seat and between 24-36 months they may bring an approved car seat. Booster seats may not be used. You are entitled to a free folding cart for check-in. This must be up to 10 kg and 40x20x55 cm in size.

On Vueling flights, you can pay extra for Internet connection. The airline is gradually installing high-speed WiFi on its planes. The service is activated when you reach the required altitude and deactivated before landing. To use it, you activate airplane mode and connect to the Vueling Wifi network. When you change your flight, you will receive a similar seat to the one you originally purchased. If you just want to move your departure to an earlier time and the date remains the same, the price is from EUR 40 (GBP 34.26 or USD 47.47).
You can change your flight up to 2 hours before departure. You can change your flight for free within 24 hours of purchase if you have made a mistake in your booking.
If you have an Optima, Family or TimeFlex fare, the change is included free of charge. The TimeFlex fare offers unlimited changes. If you have a Basic fare, you can purchase a Flex package for EUR 3 - 10 (GBP 2.57 - 8.56 or USD 3.56 - 11.87), this also allows you to make your changes for free.

If you have an Optima, Family or TimeFlex fare, you have the option to cancel your flight in the form of a flight credit. If you have a Basic fare, you can purchase a Flex package for EUR 3 - 10 (GBP 2.57 - 8.56 or USD 3.56 - 11.87), which also allows cancellation in the form of a flight credit.
In these cases, cancellation up to 48 hours before departure is for free. Cancellations are made in the booking management after logging in, which you'll receive in your e-mail box with the flight credit to use for your future purchase or another person.
If you have paid with Avios points, you'll receive them back to your Avios account for use at a later date after cancellation. Refunds can take up to a week.
